This opportunity is for an experienced school psychologist to support elementary and some high school students in Centralia, WA, within a hybrid onsite/travel role. The position runs January 5th through June 12th, with potential for extra snow days as needed. The role provides a balanced mix of in-person and remote work, with a typical schedule of four days onsite and one day from home each week.
Key responsibilities include conducting initial and re-evaluation testing, managing referrals, and maintaining a caseload of approximately 1,000 students per psychologist. Candidates will primarily support elementary levels, with some high school involvement, and preschool options may be available depending on interest.
Qualifications And Desired Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred; strong candidates who are new graduates will be considered
- Valid Washington State School Psychologist license required
- Successful background check through OSPI (fingerprinting lookup)
- Drivers license and Social Security card required
Additional Role Details
- Workweek consists of 37.5 hours, with up to 40 hours allowed upon prior approval
- Testing baseline target is 60 initial evaluations for the full term, excluding re-evaluations
- Coverage across three school sites in Centralia area
